This set includes an attenuated cable to connect a CD player to the Quad pre-amp. It is available with 2 attenuation levels, - 10dB and 15dB.
10dB, is as recommended by Quad but, if you listen to modern highly compressed CDs, 15dB gives a better control of the volume.

Some users like the sound of metal film resistors, some prefer the sound of carbon film. Customers can select which type is fitted to the attenuated cable
