Ring Lock or Latching Din Plugs?

These cables in this section are available
with either ring locking or
push button latching DIN plugs.

To help you choose, here are pictures
of the 2 types of socket as found on Naim equipment

Latching

Naim Supernait or XS Power Supply Upgrade 'Y' Cable

This 'Y' cable allows SuperNait or XS users to add a power supply
to their amplifier and still separate the audio from the power

At the bottom of the 'Y' is a 5 pin, 240 degree, horseshoe shape ring lock DIN plug
which plugs into the pre-amp out socket on the SuperNait or XS

One side of the 'Y' is 30cm long, terminated in a 4 pin ring lock DIN plug.
This plugs into the power amp input on the SuperNait or XS, so the audio
comes straight out of the SuperNait or XS and straight back into it again,
without going through the power supply

The other branch of the 'Y' is 1m long and is fitted with another
5 pin, 240 degree, horseshoe shape ring lock DIN plug
which plugs into the Naim power supply

With the short branch of the 'Y' carrying audio only and the
long branch carrying power only, power and audio are separated
using this 'Y' cable

Naim Stageline I-Supply 'Y' Cable

This 'Y' cable allows an older Stageline fitted with a single
5 pin 240 degree horseshoe shaped DIN socket to an I-Supply
fitted with a captive cable terminating in a 5 pin 240 degree
horseshoe shaped DIN socket and a Naim amplifier fitted
with a 5 pin 180 degree ring lock DIN

At the bottom of the 'Y' is a 5 pin 240 degree horseshoe shaped
DIN plug which connects to the Stageline.

One branch of the 'Y' is 30 cm long and is fitted with a
5 pin 240 degree horseshoe shaped DIN socket.
This socket is fitted with a raised edged collar so that the
ring lock DIN plug on the I-Supply cable can be firmly attached

The other branch of the 'Y' is 1m long and terminates in a
5 pin 180 degree ring lock DIN plug
